CHLAMYDIA Testing for males & females aged 16-25.

Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted infection that often has no symptoms.

The test is a simple, painless, self taken swab for females and a urine test for men - ask your doctor, nurse or receptionist for a testing kit.

Why should I be tested?

To stop the spread of infection & prevent fertility problems in the future.  Every time  you change your sexual partner you should get a test

The treatment is a short course of strong antibiotics.

FREE CONDOMS

If you are over 16 you can collect free condoms from the surgery. 

Ask your doctor, nurse, or receptionist.

You can ring the receptionist and arrange to collect your condoms from reception

How to Contact The Surgery to Speak to the Doctor or Nurse, or to Request a Test Result

telephone.jpgIf you need to speak to any of the doctors, nurse practitioner or practice nurses, please telephone the receptionist on 2951235. If the matter is urgent you will be put through to someone. If it is not urgent the receptionist will take a message and the doctor or nurse will call you back when it is convenient.

Test Results

For test results please telephone the receptionist, on 2951235, in the afternoon if possible. The results of tests can only be given to patients after the doctor has seen the result.
